Terms & Conditions

1. Platform Role & Disclaimer of Liability

EventsWalah acts solely as a technology platform and marketplace facilitating bookings between customers and third-party vendors (venues, caterers, decorators, etc.). EventsWalah is not the direct provider of these services. We legally limit our liability in the event a vendor underperforms, fails to appear, or breaches their independent contract.

2. Booking & Payment Terms

Payments are processed securely via our platform. Typical booking involves an advance deposit (e.g., 20%) to confirm the vendor, with the remaining balance due closer to the event date (e.g., 14 days prior). Specific payment routing (escrow vs. direct to vendor) depends on the selected package tier.

3. Cancellation & Refund Policy

Event bookings involve significant deposits. Our cancellation policy is tiered:

  • Cancellation 90+ days out: Full refund minus a 5% processing fee.
  • Cancellation 30-89 days out: 50% refund of the deposit.
  • Cancellation within 7 days: No refund provided.

4. Vendor Obligations

Vendors are independent contractors. They are solely responsible for acquiring their own necessary licenses, insurance, and adhering to local laws (including but not limited to noise ordinances, safety regulations, and liquor licenses).

5. User Obligations

Customers must provide accurate event details, including guest counts and venue requirements. If a customer books a venue for 100 people and 500 attend, the customer is fully liable for all extra charges and penalties incurred, not EventsWalah.

6. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from vendor performance, payments, or platform usage must first be subjected to mandatory mediation through our support team before any formal legal action is pursued against the platform.

7. "Build Your Own" Clause

When utilizing the custom "Build Your Own" package builder, EventsWalah does not guarantee that independently selected vendors will seamlessly coordinate with one another unless a dedicated EventsWalah planner is explicitly hired as part of the package.
